Poster and Video Guidelines

We appreciate your interest in presenting at the 9th Symposium of Zamorano’s in the USA at Purdue University.

Please fill out this short survey to register your poster.

Poster Guidelines

​

  • All posters will be displayed on a poster board.

  • Make sure to bring your printed poster. The recommended dimensions are A0 format: 118,9 cm (46,8 in.) in height and 84,1 cm width (33,1 in.) in portrait layout. 

  • Materials to fix your poster will be provided on-site. All abstracts and posters must be in English. 

  • Poster will be evaluated based on this rubric. (link)

Poster presentation will be held October 21st, 8:30-9:30 am at Stewart center.

 


Video Guidelines

​

  • The video length must be 3 to 5 minutes. Competitors exceeding 5 minutes will be disqualified.

  • The organizers suggest using a video conferencing app like Zoom to record the presentation.

  • A five-slide power point can be used for the video, which does not include the front page with presentation title and author information. The presenter must be visible in the video. Videos will be evaluated using the available rubric (click here to download).

Important Dates

There will be four key events:

  1. Poster abstract submission | October 10th, 2023
    During the registration for the poster session and abstract submission, the participants must indicate whether they want to participate in the lighting talk competition.

  2. Video submission | October 11th to 15th, 2023
    On October 11th, the organizers will send a link to each participant to upload a 3 to 5-min video. The link will be active until October 15th at 4:59 pm.

  3. Announcement of top three finalists | October 18th, 2023,
    The top three finalists will be notified on October 18th, 2023, and will advance to the final stage.

  4. Final contest at the Symposium and award ceremony | October 21st, 2023The finalists will present in person at the Symposium on October 21st, 2023. All three finalists will receive a certificate in the award ceremony, and the top finalist will receive a monetary award.

 

Lighting talks by finalist will be held October 21st, Stewart Center.
